Full Story List

Ricky Maranon is a sophomore Journalism major in his first year at The Daily. This fall Ricky will be focusing on covering UOSA and the OU Administration and will also be the Thursday day reporter. In Summer 2009, Ricky broke the news about Dan Arnett announcing that he will run for Congress against Rep. Dan Boren exclusively for The Daily. Ricky has been writing news since sophomore year of high school in which he was a freelance political reporter for the OCS Legacy Student Newspaper. In his free time, he likes to sleep, cook and cuddle up with a good book and a cup of soup. He hopes to one day achieve the rank of national nightly news anchor for a major news network or report for a major metropolitan newspaper. Ricky is also a President's Community Scholar.
