Meredith Moriak is a journalism junior and Managing Editor of The Oklahoma Daily. Meredith is originally from Bedford, Texas and previously worked as a news desk reporter and copy editor at The Daily. During summer 2009, Meredith moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. and worked as a news intern at the Argus Leader. During spring 2009, she worked as a public relations intern at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Meredith is a member of Gaylord Ambassadors, vice president of the Native American Journalists Association-OU chapter, unity liasion of the Society of Professional Journalists-OU chapter, a contest judge for Oklahoma Scholastic Media and works as a peer educator for OU Health Services. After graduation, Meredith hopes to work in a metropolitan area as a reporter covering education or crime before attending graduate school.
