Dust off your French maid costume, black corset, and high heels and make your way to Sooner Theater Saturday night at 10 p.m. to be part of the long Halloween tradition of not only watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but truly experiencing it through song, dance, and live performances.
Everyone has a chance to perform on stage through the scenes of the movies bringing in to life for the audience as they sing and dance along.
Dress up as your favorite character and audition for the part maybe this time you could be Janet, Brad, or even Dr. Frank-N-Furter.
Don’t forget to pick your goodie bad filled with instruments of fun including a water gun, rice, and toilet paper which you are prompted to use throughout the movie. This will be definitely a movie experience you won’t soon forget.
Also, for you avid Rocky fans, you might enjoy the movie Repo, The Genetic Opera. Set in the future, this movie from the makers of Saw, we are brought along on the story of Nathan Wallace and his daughter Shilo in a time where organ failures became an epidemic and GeneCo, created by Rotti Largo, came along with their organs and organ financing.
When you can’t make your payments GeneCo sends out the Repo Man to repossess your transplanted organ. This movie takes the idea behind the obsession with plastic surgery to the next level showing how we are an addictive society, and question what repercussions we could encounter.
It may be a familiar storyline of lies, revenge, and betrayal, but the inventive and interesting music gives a new twist to an old favorite.
